Mother Slashed Defending Daughter During Home Invasion
A young mother and her daughter have been left terrified after being threatened by a home invader armed with a box cutter.
The alleged invader entered the home on Lassiter Court, in Narre Warren South, in Melbourne's south-east at about 12.30pm on Monday.
Police allege the man threatened the woman and demanded her car keys and money.
The woman refused and was attacked by the man, who slashed her face and arms with the knife.
She fought back with the steering wheel lock until he fled the house through the back door.
Damien Jurss, the woman's fiance, posted photos on Facebook of the injuries she suffered and blood-stained walls.
The man is thought to be aged 30-40 years old, and described as being Caucasian, 183 centimetres tall, medium build with brown hairs.
He was wearing a blue DC hoodie, black track pants, black air max Nike's and was wearing a mask covering part of his face, Victoria Police said.
Jurss added the alleged offender will "probably be limping" as his fiance managed to hit his knee and neck with a steering wheel lock.
