Nick Carter Has Filed A Restraining Order Against Brother Aaron Citing 'Alarming Behaviour'
Backstreet Boy Nick Carter has filed a restraining order against his younger brother Aaron.
Nick, 39, posted a statement on Twitter, writing that he and his 31-year-old sister Angel -- Aaron's twin -- had filed the order "after careful consideration".
The singer explained that his brother's "increasingly alarming behaviour" triggered their decision to protect themselves.
Nick noted that Aaron had shared a "recent confession that he harbours thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child".
"We were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family," he wrote.
We love our brother and truly hope he gets the proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else.
Nick began his message with hashtags including #mentalhealth and #guncontrolnow.
Aaron recently appeared on an episode of 'The Doctors' and revealed that he has multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, manic depression and acute anxiety.
He has tweeted dozens of responses to his brother Nick's restraining order, as well as to concerned fans, in the last few hours.
