Cardi B Got Offset's Name Tattooed On Her And This Is Why She'll Probably Regret It

If the following celebs who had their significant others inked on them are anything to go by, Cardi may find herself regretting this.

Love can certainly make people do crazy things.

One of those crazy things is getting a permanent reminder of your significant other in the form of a tattoo, and while it seems like a ~romantic~ thing to do, we know that when it comes to celebs, these relationships don't always last the distance.

Despite briefly calling it quits last year over claims Offset had cheated on Cardi with at least six other women, it seems that the star has forgiven and forgotten, after it was revealed she has paid tribute to her husband in the form of a tattoo on her thigh.

Posting to Instagram over the weekend, Migos rapper Offset shared a screengrab of himself FaceTiming Cardi, who was seen lifting her leg up to show him his name tattooed in cursive on her leg.

“CANT WAIT TO GET HOME,” he captioned the snap.

Look, we don't want to seem like a bunch of jaded, icy-hearted humans who like to dramatically declare that "love is dead", but given the general track record of celebs inking themselves for love, historically, the eventual outcome is... not good.

Take a walk down memory lane with us, as we remember these stars who were left with a permanent reminder of their exes, or, were forced to undergo painful laser tattoo removal to rid themselves of their ink post-breakup.

Following her break-up with ex-husband, rapper Wiz Khalifa in 2014, Rose was left with a black-and-grey image of  Khalifa's face on her upper arm, which she had reworked to instead portray rocker Slash.

Where to even start with these two?

After a whirlwind engagement, the pair got a slew of tiny tattoos to commemorate their love, but upon their inevitable break-up, both stars were quick to cover a bunch of their ink.

Just a couple of weeks following their split, Ari had the "Reborn" ink on her hand that she got with Davidson turned into what looked to be a feather. They both also used a heart design to cover their other matching tattoos... Which is kind of like they got matching break-up tatts.

In a savage move, Davidson also had his neck tattoo -- which read "Mille Tendresse", a French phrase meaning "a million tendernesses" -- changed into the word "cursed".

Meanwhile, Ari went over the "8418" on her foot, which was a tribute to Davidson's father who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, with a tribute to late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller with a tattoo of the star's dog, Myron.

Kylie Jenner and Tyga

Kylie Jenner inked herself with a tribute to her ex-boyfriend Tyga early in 2017 in the form of a small 't' on her ankle. Following the breakup, she had the tiny tatt reworked into what looks to read 'LA' in lowercase.

As for Tyga, his tribute to King Kylie -- 'Kylie' written in giant cursive across his bicep -- was a bit more difficult to cover up. Apparently, he still had the ink while his former flame was pregnant with her and current BF Travis Scott's first bub, Stormi. Awkward!

Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting

Kaley commemorated her wedding date to tennis pro Ryan Sweeting with Roman numeral on her back that represented 31 December 2013, which she had covered with a moth upon their divorce in September 2015.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres about the doomed ink, she acknowledged that it wasn't the best idea.

"I made a mistake… Don't tattoo a wedding date. I know. I know... I had to cover it, I had to cover it with the wings. (I chose them) because it was big enough to cover the numbers... big wings. It's just what I picked out when I was there."

Ryan also had Kaley's name tattooed on his arm.

Johnny Depp

In perhaps the most famous of failed couple tattoos is Johnny Depp's tribute to his former girlfriend of the '90s, Winona Ryder, which read "Winona Forever". After the couple broke up in 1993, Depp had the ink reworked to say "Wino Forever".

It seems he didn't learn his lesson, however, with the actor again being forced to change another tattoo. This time around, he got 'SLIM' tattooed on his knuckles, which was reportedly his now ex-wife Amber Heard's nickname. Upon their extremely rocky divorce, Depp changed the ink to read "SCUM", and later, "SCAM".

Lamar Odom and Khloé Kardashian

After marrying in 2009, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom celebrated with matching ink. As we know, the relationship was not meant to be, and the pair officially divorced in 2016.

In 2018, Odom revealed he still had Khloe's initials tattooed on him, saying, “I still got my shawty’s name still on me, her initials still on me.” He continued, “But for no reason. You know what I’m saying? I understand when it’s over, it’s over. When she was with her second or third NBA ball player, I could see that.”

Khloe, however, looks to have since removed Odom's initials on her hand.

Russell Brand and Katy Perry

Back in 2010, Russell Brand and Katy Perry debuted their matching tattoos ahead of their wedding, which was a Sanskrit inking which read ‘Anuugacchati Pravaha’, meaning 'go with the flow'.

Following the end of their ill-fated marriage in December 2011, Russell quickly had the tattoo removed.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon

Marrying secretly in the Bahamas in 2008 after just six weeks of dating, Nick Cannon paid tribute to his then-wife Mariah Carey with a giant tattoo of her name across his back.

Upon whispers that the couple were headed for splitsville, Cannon debuted an even bigger cover-up tattoo, featuring a large crucifixion piece. Mariah also had her own tribute tatt for her former husband -- the words “Mrs. Cannon” inside a butterfly on her lower back. She has since had the ink altered.

Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen

After pledging their devotion to one another back in 2002 with tattoos of each other's names, it wasn't long before Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen's marriage began to crumble, with the couple divorcing three years later.

Richards now has a fairy where her ink was and, not all that surprisingly, Sheen changed “Denise” to “Winning”.

Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne

Talk about a blast from the past! Back in 2010, Brody Jenner got girlfriend Avril Lavigne's name inked on his forearm, with the "Sk8er Boi" singer reportedly getting Jenner's name on her ribcage before they split in 2012.
